Melanie Heath can anyone remember Mary Bella Handsom and her husband Pont Alias Handsom they lived at 58 Station Rd My granda Chick Alias Ernest Johnson used to be very good mates with Pont. After they had been to the bush for a few drinks my granda called in Ponts house he always got wrong off grandma Sarah for been out too late!

Ushaw Moor Memories Yeah thanks for your comments, photo was a lucky find, I remember Chick got a lift on his horse and kart many a time, up Bannerman, back to Laysmith Tce.

Ushaw Moor Memories Not sure when, but I guess as it was around the time when the Railway closed to passengers which was in 1951. I was surprised it was demolished after all this time. I always thought it was listed.

Paula Davies They turned the Station hotel into flats at one point. Twice i think someone tried that route. I can remember people living there but it got into a hell of a state and would have cost alot to put right.....
