The managers house is still in situ. The small White brick methodist Chapel stood on the Ushaw Moor road a few yards from the Managers house. The Colliery manager was Mr Wilson when I was a lad. He had three children, Angela,Hugh and I think the other land was named Ian. The field in the foreground was grazed by the pit ponies when the colliery was on holiday. Brian Mc
